FAQ
Questions families ask.
If you don't see yours here, the free discovery call is the best place to ask.
Who do you work with?
+
Parents of children with special needs — especially families navigating IEPs, evaluations, or vision-related services — and new special education teachers or educators pursuing TVI credentials.
How do sessions work?
+
All sessions are virtual, held over Zoom or Google Meet. After booking, you'll receive a short intake so we can make the most of our time. Most families start with a 60-minute consultation.
Do you attend IEP meetings?
+
Yes — virtually. As part of an advocacy package I can prepare you before the meeting, attend by video with you, and debrief afterward with clear next steps.
Are you a lawyer or a certified advocate?
+
No. I'm a veteran special education teacher and TVI, not an attorney. I offer educational guidance and coaching based on classroom and IEP experience. For legal disputes, I can help you understand when it's time to bring in a special-education attorney.
Do you take insurance?
+
No. Consulting and advocacy services are private-pay. Some families use HSA/FSA funds — check with your plan administrator to see what qualifies.
What's your refund policy?
+
All sales are final. You can reschedule any session up to 24 hours in advance at no charge.
Do you work with families outside the US?
+
Yes. Coaching and TVI mentoring travel well over Zoom. IEP advocacy is US-specific because the process itself is US-specific, but international families are welcome for coaching and vision consulting.
How do I know if we're a good fit?
+
Book a free 20-minute discovery call. We'll talk through what's happening and I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person to help — no pressure either way.
